ISO 9001:2008 Requirements from A to Z

This class is for auditors, supervisors and managers who want to 1) learn about ISO 9001 requirements, 2) interpret the ISO 9001 standard, 3) apply ISO 9001 to their work situation. The class is based on the ISO 9001 portion of a certified lead auditor class. The class includes on-line access to ISO 9000 and ISO 9001 standards and over a dozen downloadable handouts such as: an ISO 9001 Checklist, a Student Textbook, Study Tips, a before class assessment and after class objectives, and so on. Students must apply what they learned by completion of an assignment for marking by an instructor. The class consists of a series of lessons, illustrations, diagrams, interactive exercises and quizzes. Successful completion of the class will result in a certificate for 18 contact hours (1.8 CEU's). The subscription period for the class is 180 days (plus one free 30-day subscription extension, if needed). The overall satisfaction rating by students who have completed this class is a rating 9 out of possible 10 (10 being very satisfied).

Learning Outcomes
Particpants will learn:

  • How the ISO 9000 family of documents was developed·
  • How to interpret the ISO 9001 requirements clause-by- clause·
  • How to analyze situations for conformance and nonconformance·
  • How to determine conformance or nonconformance against the specified requirements

MEET THE INSTRUCTORS:
J.P. Russell
is owner of JP Russell and Associates (www.JPR@JP-Russell.com) and Director of Operations for QualityWBT Center for Education (www.QualityWBT.com). Mr. Russell is an ASQ Fellow, an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, and former RAB QMS Lead Auditor. He is a member of ASQ, Institute of Internal Auditors, Standards Engineering Society, US TAG TC176 and Secretary of TG 9001-9004. Mr. Russell has been a speaker at several national conferences and regional organizational meetings and is an ASQ qualified instructor.

JP is an instructional designer in the areas of auditing, standards, and improvement, has authored over 12 books on process/systems auditing/continual improvement, edited the Quality Audit Handbook 1st and 2nd ed, and the ASQ Auditng Handbook, and is a regular columnist for ASQ's Quality Progress magazine.
